Nayan Patel, CHCIO, FHIMSS, Director of Information Services, The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano/Denton
Nayan Patel serves on the executive leadership team as the Director of Information Services for The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton cardiovascular specialty hospitals.  He has responsibility for overseeing the vision and strategic direction of all IT investments, finance, operations, and governance. Patel received his BSEE and MSEE from the University of Tennessee, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He is a past-president of the Dallas-Fort Worth Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and currently serves on the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Planning Committee, SMU Information Technology Operations and Management Advisory Board, and the University of Texas at Dallas Healthcare Management Advisory Council.

Dave Mendenhall, Chief Technology Officer, JPS Health
Dave Mendenhall is the Chief Technology Officer at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Mendenhall is an accomplished business and technology leader with a track record of success in health care (JPS Health Network, Promise Regional Medical Center, Wichita Clinic), corporate retail (Pizza Hut), manufacturing (Koch), and financial services (AgVantis) industries. He is a technologist with a business acumen who has extensive experiences aligning technology with business to drive revenue growth, and operational efficiencies.

Ken Huckaby, Senior Director of IT Operations at Texas Health Partners
Ken Huckaby has worked twenty-plus years in technology related fields and as a leader. Ken has served as the Subject Matter Expert to the Air Force Inspector General and proudly served in the U.S. Army. From 1999 to 2000 and again from 2005 to present, Ken has been in Healthcare IT, where he has worked in ever-growing leadership positions as a DBA at BJC Health System, Director at Sisters of Mercy Health System and currently as a Sr. Director with Texas Health Resources. Prior to working at BJC Health System, Ken served in various positions for Norlight Telecommunications Inc., a major whole seller of telecommunication services to companies like MCI, Sprint and AT&T. Ken received his BS from the Western Governors University in 2006.

Lynn Gibson, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, CHRISTUS Health
Lynn Gibson is the Vice President/Chief Technology Officer for CHRISTUS Health with offices in Irving and San Antonio, Texas. He has over 30 years in healthcare in a variety of operational, medical research, and information technology roles. Computerworld named him as one of the Premier IT Leaders of 2014.  Over the course of his career, Lynn has had responsibilities of all aspects of an IT environment including application implementation, service desk, field support, network, telephony, and security. Lynn joined CHRISTUS officially in 2012 after being in the Interim role under a relationship with Deloitte Consulting. He has had an extensive history in helping a number of large healthcare organizations in both the US and internationally with developing and executing their information technology strategies.  He has authored and co-authored a number of articles in peer review journals during his career.  He has also work in both Washington DC and Austin Texas working for members of the legislative bodies at both levels. He holds a BA, BBA, and MBA degree.

Chris Akeroyd, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Children's Health System
Chris Akeroyd currently serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Children’s Health System of Texas. In this role, he has responsibility for overseeing technical strategy and standards for the health system’s infrastructure. Prior to his role with Children’s, he directed technology operations, strategy and architecture for UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas. Akeroyd has over 20 years of IT leadership experience, with the last decade being focused on Healthcare IT. Prior to the healthcare industry, he had experience as a VP/CIO for a national mortgage company and a global telecommunications organization. Mr. Akeroyd received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Texas Tech University, and his Health IT certifications include CHCIO and CPHIMS.
