Our out of town guests will share their insights on Houston Methodist's innovative approach to interacting with their community and stakeholders.

Speaker Bios

Josh Sol, Director of Ambulatory Clinical Systems and Innovation for Houston Methodist, has over 10 years of progressive healthcare information technology experience, working with Houston Methodist since June 2010. His current role includes leading strategies surrounding EMR implementation and support, patient engagement, population health, virtual care, interoperability, as well as the improving the physician’s mobile experience. Josh also plays an instrumental role within Houston Methodist’s Center for Innovation, where he focuses on positively disrupting the status quo, empowering clinicians, patients and consumers with cutting-edge digital technology.


Brad Shaink has been with Houston Methodist since June 2011. His current position is Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation. Brad serves a broad role focused on consumer and patient digital technologies that advance Houston Methodist's vision of Leading Medicine.

Brad's successes include development of an Intelligent Automation team, the creation of the first enterprise patient app at Houston Methodist, deployment of Epic to its main academic medical center and physician practices, and innovating on mobile development strategies to expand access to care.  Brad plays an instrumental role with in the Houston Methodist Center for Innovation, is an innovator by passion and entrepreneur at heart.

Before joining Houston Methodist, Brad was employed at Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He has also worked with in telecommunications, manufacturing and logistics companies.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and his Masters Degree from Bellevue University. His strengths are in developing strategy, solutioning outcomes, and leading teams to drive those strategic initiatives.
